While many of our eyes have been on the Stone Island x New Balance 991v2 "Black Olive" this week, the Italian sportswear icon has been putting in work with its mainline apparel offerings. Constantly building upon its knack for creating technical garments, Stone Island has now readied a selection of hand-coloured pieces for AW'023'024.
Fairly concise in its offerings, this collection is simply made up of down jackets, gilets, sweats, hoodies, trousers and tees. Two hand-painted colour palettes are on show, namely a black and grey mix and a black and orange.
Both the down jackets and gilets are crafted from Stone Island's famed David-TC material. Formed from a star-shaped Japanese polyester/polyamide substrate, the David-TC material is arguably one of Stone Island's highest-quality fabrics, delivering both protection against the elements and breathability.
Another featured calling card of Stone Island is the use of an intricate dyeing process. Under pressure at 130°C, fabrics undergo heat-induced compression, transforming their hand and body to deliver that final show-stopping aesthetic.
For those looking to get their hands on Stone Island's Hand Coloured AW'023'024 pieces, you can now find them for purchase on the brand's website. In other fashion news, Supreme x Dickies pick up where they left off for Fall 2023.
