Stone Island Launches the Sixth Instalment of Its Prototype Research_Series

After readying its extensive FW22 Icon Imagery Collection, Stone Island is back and ready to release more of its refined offerings. This time around, the brand is looking to expand its signature Prototype Research_Series with its 06 iteration, an outerwear piece with both technicality and style at its core.

For those unfamiliar with the Prototype Research_Series, it's Stone Island's experimental line where unique fabrics and treatments are prioritised even more than its regular line. With each piece limited to 100 units, the Prototype Research_Series is a favourite amongst series collectors and fans of the brand alike.

This latest piece arrives with a short fishtail construction, featuring Dévoré With Kevlar® Core. To produce the piece, Stone Island worked closely with the Kevlar® design team to ensure high strength, toughness, and thermal stability. In addition, the jacket sports a "stretch broken" look, made possible by its fine yarn form. This technique reveals the characteristic yellow hue of the Kevlar®, offering a stunning appearance.
