If, by some minor chance, a streetwear and WWE collaboration was on your bingo card for 2023, give yourself a pat on the back. In surprising fashion, Palace Skateboards x WWE are set to launch an upcoming apparel capsule this week, based on honouring wrestling legend Mick Foley.
For those unfamiliar with Mick Foley (AKA Cactus Jack or Mankind), he was a WWF/WWE legend in the 1980/90s golden era of the sport. As a four-time world champion and an 11-time world tag team champion, Foley was one of the trailblazing icons of the squared circle and even went on to be a WWE Hall of Famer.
In collaboration with the London-based skate brand, WWE x Palace have produced a concise apparel collection with designs nodding to the wrestler. Included, we see hoodies, sweats and T-Shirts, each bearing graphical imprints to the personas of Mankind and Dude Love. Mankind's signature leather-strap mask is featured atop a Dude Love-inspired smiley face, pairing the two personas together atop tees and hoodies. Elsewhere, Palace logo and "Hardcore Legend" imprints can also be seen.
Chances are, unless you're a hardcore wrestling fan, you're not going to care too much about this one. With that said, for those looking to cop, you can expect the Palace x WWE apparel collection to launch this Friday, on the 30th of June. In other fashion news, Manchester United's 2023/24 home kit takes inspiration from the city's industrial revolution.
