Shaun Stussy's California based brand continues with its world domination after opening its latest chapter store in the Shibuya neighbourhood of Tokyo. The store aims to unite the laid-back Californian surf spirit with contemporary and stylish Japanese design.
The store has been curated by Los Angeles Interior Designer Perron-Roettinger, the mind behind Stussy's previous stores in Kyoto, Nagoya & Shanghai. The brand now has a total of 19 stores worldwide as well as pop up locations in 3 Dover Street Market stores.
The store itself has a dark black exterior making way to a maze-like display of structures and colour. Floor to ceiling windows is found on the entire right side exterior of the building. A variety of straw sculptures and plants grace the entranceway as well as light oak panelling and a painting of a man on a beach.
Perron-Roettinger has opted for a sage-green like hue to grace the fittings. This has been paired with industrial styled shades of grey and white for a contemporary and modern design.
The store will stock everything from seasonal collections all the way to prized collaborations. So if you're ever in Shibuya check it out at 1-14-5 Jinnan, Shibuya, Tokyo, 150-0041. In other news, is this the latest piece from Yeezy x GAP?
