Another week, another Stüssy collab. Off the back of its link-up with Clarks Originals, Stüssy is evidently keen to keep the ball rolling this season. In collaboration with Mountain Hardwear, the Californian surfwear imprint has readied a selection of outdoor staples, including both clothing and accessories.
Fellow Californian brand Mountain Hardwear was founded back in 1993 when a group of outdoor enthusiasts noticed a shift in the industry. With brands at the time seeking to compromise quality and dumb down products, Mountain Hardwear remained firmly committed to producing exceptional gear.
Given the underlying sense of practicality featured throughout this collection, it is fair to say Mountain Hardwear's knack for utility has prevailed. Included within the mix, we see matching fleece sets, puffer vests, tees, beanies, and even a sleeping bag. In line with both Stüssy's previous offerings and mountaineering tropes, this collection features a number of vivid colours. Shades of fluorescent orange and green work against electric blue, grey, black and white tints, delivering a mixed bag of hues.
Additionally, co-branded elements grace each item, pairing Shawn Stüssy's now iconic handstyle with Mountain Hardwear's nuts and bolts-inspired logo. The collection is scheduled to be released via selected Stüssy and Mountain Hardwear retailers and online on the 13th of October.
