Just in case you weren't satisfied (or bored) yet, VF Corp bros Supreme and The North Face are at it once again. For the first time and likely, not the last this season, the duo have readied a fresh selection of takes on some of TNF's iconic silhouettes, but we can't help but feel things are a tad lacklustre.
By now, we're all very accustomed to the idea of a Supreme x TNF link-up, but in recent years, we think most would agree it has lost its spark somewhat. This latest collection follows a whopping four link-ups in 2022 and sees familiar silhouettes such as the Nuptse and the Mountain Jacket decked out in a trompe l’oeil pattern. For those unfamiliar with the idea of trompe l’oeil, it's a French artistic technique that translates to "deceive the eye" in English. Trompe l'oeil is intended to trick a viewer into thinking painted objects are real, with this trick echoing an almost metallic-like shine.
This design has graced the aforementioned Nuptse and Mountain Jacket alongside Mountain Mitts and backpacks, each arriving in either a red, yellow, black or purple hue. The saving grace of this collection, however, arrives in the form of matching shaggy fleece sweats, shorts and beanies. Available in either a dark grey or speckled green hue, these pieces look to provide both comfort and unique style.
To round out the selection, removable sleeve hoodies, removable leg joggers and T-Shirts are also featured. For those looking to get their hands on this latest Supreme x The North Face link-up, it will be available from Thursday the 9th both in-store and online. Let us know if you're feeling this one, and while you're here, check out everything that's dropping as part of Jordan's 2023 Retro line-up .
