Chances are, if you were born on the latter end of Gen X, you might remember a thing or two about the side-scrolling fighting game series Tekken. With iconic characters such as King, Yoshimitsu and Jack, Tekken now owns the Guinness world record for the longest-running cohesive storyline in video game history. In celebration of the Japanese game, Supreme x Yohji Yamamoto have linked up to produce a range of themed goods for AW22.
Included in this latest selection, we see leather jackets and pants from Vanson, Bomber Jackets, Parkas, Baja jackets, matching suits, knits, shirts, hoodies, tees and even a pair of Dr. Martens. While the majority of the collection focuses on Tekken and all its relevant motifs, other pieces look elsewhere for inspiration. For example, the Vanson leather jacket and pants are motocross-inspired, complete with the Yohji Yamamoto co-sign.
In addition, we also see a matching paint-splattered set consisting of a suit jacket, trousers and corresponding Dr. Marten 1461 3-Eye shoes. As usual, this latest Supreme collection will launch this Thursday, the 22nd of September, both in-store and online. In other fashion news, Dickies set to open its first standalone European store in London.
