Over the past few years, Nike have never skipped a beat with their Pride Month sneakers. After dropping a vibrant four-piece collection in 2021, it looks like the Beaverton brand will be toning things down a bit with the Nike SB Dunk Low "Be True" 2022, but as the great architect and furniture designer Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe used to say, "less is more."
Stepping away from the usual rainbow palettes that we've become accustomed to with Pride-inspired pairs, this Dunk boasts an ultra wearable all-white colourway and a crisp leather construction that's smooth and supple to the touch. "BE TRUE" text is finely embroidered on the heel in all-caps, and this is complemented by multicoloured stitching that runs across the entirety of the Swoosh and heel.
Mismatched heel badges add further contrast to the sneaker, and of course, you can't talk about this Nike Dunk Low without mentioning the pocket that's hidden away in the tongue. Fastened with a single zip, you can store your secret stash right here.
As you can see from these early shots, the Nike SB Dunk Low 2022 "BETRUE" is still at the sample stage, but our sources tell us that they'll look pretty similar to these and will drop alongside a bunch of other pairs too. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection this June, and while you're here, you might as well take an on-foot look at the Gnarhunters x Nike SB Dunk Low "Black"!
