The Swoosh label debuted the Space Hippie collection back in June as part of the Move to Zero campaign, with every sneaker from the collection utilising renewable fabrics such as “Space Waste Yarn” and “Crater Foam”. The 03 silhouette was by far the most eye-catching of the pack, showcasing hyper-futuristic construction and FlyEase technology. The average resell price of the Space Hippie 03 has remained over double the retail price, with searches for sustainable sneakers up 89% year-on-year.

The first Yeezy on this list comes in the form of the 350 V2 “Carbon”, a pair many sneakerheads hailed as the best Yeezy colorway in a long time. Within the first two weeks of release, the pair had already sold 15,000 pairs on StockX, making the Carbon the fastest selling Yeezy of 2020. The 350 V2 is still a major player on the resell market, selling 4x more than any other adidas silhouette on the StockX platform.

The Nike SB Dunk has truly dominated 2020, so it’s about time the silhouette appeared on this list. Collaborating with American rock band Grateful Dead, Nike’s dedicated skateboarding line launched three colorways of the Dunk Low crafted from furry fabrics, with the “Orange Bear” the most limited of the three. This pair in particular regularly sells for over £2300 on StockX, which compared to the low retail price makes this Dunk the most profitable sneaker release of the entire year, with a 3000% profit margin!

Next up comes easily the wackiest collaboration of 2020 - the Ben & Jerry’s x Nike SB Dunk Low “Chunky Dunky”. This sneaker was highly anticipated by footwear fans across the world, especially the special box variation that came packed in a huge Ben & Jerry’s ice cream tub. The pair now has an average resell price of 1500% above the original retail and is the only sneaker from 2020 to rank for highest price, highest premium and highest gross merchandise volume on StockX!

The Dunk hype was arguably propelled to new heights when Travis Scott launched his take on the silhouette back in February 2020. His “Cactus Jack” variation showcased paisley and tartan patterns that tear-away with wear to reveal a unique elephant-print graphic. Interestingly, these did not launch via the SNKRS app and were available only from skate shops. Searches for Nike SB Dunk Low on StockX increased by 443% between February and March, largely due to this collaboration.
