Whilst we expected two Air Jordan 12s and a stealthy Air Jordan 4 drop, James Whitner-owned A Ma Maniére has now announced a surprise addition to the line-up that will be dropping very soon. The A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Ship "Game Royal" is the latest effort from AMM and the Jordan brand, and it's a little different to the collaborations we've seen previously.
Constructed from traditional materials, this full-grain leather Air Ship pays true homage to the sneaker that started it all for Nike's Jordan brand. Unlike what is rumoured, the "Banned" colour regulations were actually from a Nike Air Ship, not an Air Jordan 1, as this is what Jordan wore in his rookie season whilst the AJ1 was in production.
The white sneaker is accented with the titular "Game Royal" hues, with Nike Air branding sitting on the heel and the tongue. Despite this not being a 'Jordan' sneaker, A Ma Maniére has announced this collaboration as one with the off-shoot Nike brand. The project is "paying homage and standing up for the OG silhouette that started it all".
The "Do It In The Dark" short film announced that the pair will be dropping on Friday 26th August on amamaniere.com. Be warned - there are only 2300 pairs releasing, making the A Ma Maniére Air Ship extremely limited. Good luck!
In related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black" will restock early next year.
