The adidas Campus 00s Proves Skateboarding Style is Back for Good

In case you hadn’t already noticed, chunky sneakers are officially back in style right now, and models like the adidas Campus 00s are leading the charge. Building on the Y2K trend that’s dominated fashion (and our TikTok FYP pages) over the past couple of years, this year’s look is all about thicc shoes, particularly those that wouldn’t look too out of place on a skate park - something that fashion week queen Avril Lavigne would be proud of.

Though adidas may not strike you as a skate brand, the German giant has seen its fair share of the half pipe. Thanks to its grippy sole, the adidas Samba actually became a fan-fave within the community, spurring on a couple of skateboarding-specific silhouettes like the Busenitz, which opened up the brand to the wider skate community.

Made from soft suede, the “Aluminium/Black” version features boldly contrasting black Stripes, as well as thick black laces that add to the chunky look and feel.
