The adidas Forum '84 High "UNC" is Giving Us Serious Vintage Vibes

“UNC” colourways always receive a warm welcome at TSS – there’s just something about the off white and baby blue colour palette that gets us every time. Maybe it’s the versatility, or maybe it’s the super-cute vintage vibes. Either way, we were happy to see the adidas Forum get the “UNC” treatment, in the form of the adidas Forum '84 High “UNC.”

Dressed up in a white and cream premium quality leather build, the “UNC” Forum High has been treated with the same colour blocking pattern as the original ‘84 basketball shoe. Hints of baby blue suede and leather give the colourway its namesake, nodding to the colours worn by the University of North Carolina basketball team. These decorate the Three Stripes on the lateral walls, ankle collar and adidas Trefoil logos. Underfoot, a pre-yellowed sole unit contributes to the retro feel.

Whilst futuristic silhouettes are very much of the moment right now, sometimes you just can’t beat an OG. Pairing the retro silhouette with the University of North Carolina colourway, adidas have created quite the masterpiece with the “UNC” Forum ‘84 High. For those who missed out on the New Balance 550 “UNC,” this is another great option.

We’re yet to hear of a release date for the “UNC” adidas Forum ‘84 High, but with the official images seeing the light of day, we’re expecting them to release early 2022.
