Despite what the name might suggest, the Forum's story actually begins in 1983 as French designer Jacques Chassaing sought out basketball athletes and coaches to identify the weak point of their footwear. After locating a weak point around the ankle of their shoes, Jacques set out to develop a silhouette with stabilisation and a shock-absorbing sole. Just under a year later, the adidas Forum 84 was born, and it's fair to say it's earned icon status ever since.
After its reintroduction in 2020, we've been treated to an array of Forum colourways, but this "White Blue" might just be one of the finest so far. Atop an aged midsole sits a premium leather upper complete with off-white suede overlays on the toe cap and wraparound mudguard. The laces, collar and tongue are all dressed in a "Preloved Blue" hue, introducing a welcomed pop of colour into the mix. On the lateral walls, adidas' famed Trefoil logo is also found in the same blue hue, completing its distinctive appearance.
The adidas Forum 84 Low Classic "White Blue" is currently available for purchase on adidas' website, but don't delay because this one is guaranteed to sell out at some point.
