The adidas Spezial 2020 Capsule is Inspired by British Subcultures

The adidas Spezial 2020 collection has just been unveiled by adidas, and it’s a capsule that fans of the three-stripe label look forward to year-in-year-out. Inspired by the rich heritage behind the brand’s football following, the Spezial line showcases some of the best silhouettes from the brands extensive archives and decks them out in easy-to-wear colourways.

Four iconic models are reworked for this season, the Lotherton, the Training 76, the Ashurt and the Zurro. All are seen here in all their vintage glory, offering familiar colour-palettes such as blue and yellow and beige and green. Three-stripe branding is seen throughout the collection for a retro feel, with all four displaying OG adidas Originals branding.

Alongside the trainers, adidas are set to release a whole clothing collection for Spezial 2020, with the range (both footwear and apparel) inspired by the London “Soul Boy” subculture that was prevalent from 1970 through to the 1990s. Whether you’re an old-school adidas head or not, there’s no doubt that this is a well put-together capsule!
