The adidas ZX 8000 “Kirschblütenallee” pack has just been unveiled by the brand with the three stripes and celebrates an iconic moment in history that sparked a beautiful friendship between two nations. Just after the fall of the Berlin wall, Japan raised 1 million euros and donated the sum to Germany to plant cherry blossom trees all over Berlin, demonstrating the newfound happiness in the city.
The pack consists of two variations of the ZX 8000, with the first being named “Hanami” and showcasing a pale-pink hue throughout, referencing the colour of the cherry blossom trees in question. The second pair are referred to as “Yozakura” and come in a grey colourway, said to reflect the colour of cherry blossom in the moonlit evening.
Both pairs are crafted from premium materials throughout including supple suede, technical mesh and rubber panels. Torsion branding is embroidered onto the tongue for a vintage-inspired touch and both pairs showcase two different lace jewels, one reading “TOKYO” and the other “BERLIN”.
The adidas ZX 8000 “Kirschblütenallee” pack is set to drop very soon on the 13th March, and it’s being released in very limited quantities. They’ll be raffled off at select retailers, so make sure you stay locked into The Sole Supplier to keep up to date with the latest.
