We told you that platform soles were going to be big this year, didn’t we? Not only have we seen the Air Force 1 receive a stacked sole, but now the Air Jordan 1 Low is getting an update too. Having first been previewed in the controversial “Bred” colourway, the Air Jordan 1 LV8D is now set to drop in both “White Tan” and “Grey White” colourways.
If you love a J but prefer your shoes to give you a bit of a height boost, the elevated silhouette is for you. The super-chunky midsole gives the shoe a fresh new feel, whilst the upper retains the colour blocking that made us fall for the AJ1 in the first place.
Ditching the retro-inspired “Bred” colourway for two that are a little more versatile, both the “White Tan” and “Grey White” pairs will slot nicely into any rotation. Both pairs feature a white base with contrasting overlays, but the branded Jordan details have been swapped out for something a little more minimal.
Where you’d normally expect to find the Jumpman logo on the tongue tab, you can now spot it embossed on a panel on the midsole, and the tongue tab has been replaced with minimalist stitching. The Jordan Wings insignia on the heel has met a similar fate - the usually detailed logo has been swapped out for a stitched outline instead. Added luxurious details include a fleecy soft panel at the inside heel for added comfort, and cork insoles.
The LV8D Air Jordan 1s are releasing on 25th February over on Nike, and expect them to take over your Instagram explore feed as soon as they drop.
