Who's hyped for the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Black Toe Shattered Backboard"? One of the most iconic colourways in the history of sneakers, the unique name first came about in 1985 when Michael Jordan was preparing for his second season in the NBA. At one point, he dunked at the net so hard that it completely smashed the glass on the backboard, resulting in the birth of the now-legendary colourway.
Set to be the fourth iteration, as its name states the "Black Toe Shattered Backboard" borrows cues from the "Black Toe" AJ1. Featuring a predominantly "Starfish" colour palette, white and black tones also feature for that signature look that we all know and love. A Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while the world-renowned winged basketball motif is finely debossed onto the ankle.
While these are currently just mock-ups, rumour has it that the "BTSB" will revert back to the original materials. So unlike the glossy patent version that we received last time, this will boast a premium leather construction that's sleek and smooth to the touch.
Not much else is known about the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Black Toe Shattered Backboard" at this moment in time, though it should hit shelves sometime at the start of 2021. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and while you're here, take your first look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Banned"!
