The Air Jordan 1 High OG "University Blue" Has Been Delayed
Delays are nothing new when it comes to the sneaker game especially at a time like this, but the postponement of the Air Jordan 1 High OG "University Blue" is particularly hard hitting for some. First unveiled as part of the Jordan Brand Spring 2021 Retro Collection at the end of last year, this was no doubt that this was the best of the bunch, and now, we're going to have to wait a little longer for release.
With an ultra premium construction that's as luxe as it gets, the "University Blue" builds on top of a white leather base, while supple suede panels wrap around the toe box, ankle, heel, and lacing system in a clean blue hue. For stark contrast, black accents adorn the lateral and medial side Nike Swoosh branding, as well as the winged basketball that we all know and love.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Air Jordan 1 without the crispy clean Air midsole underfoot that's as comfortable as it gets. MJ and the team could've left the outsole black, but to tie everything together they've dipped it in a complementary tone that rounds it all off nicely.
Now for the news that we've all been dreading. Originally expected to release in February, we'll now have to wait until March 6th to get our hands on the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "University Blue". Let us know what you think of this, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Burgundy Crush" has been unveiled!
