After a lot of speculation it seems that the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is set to make a return to the market this year. Originally launched in 1985 alongside the High and Mid variants, the AJ1 Low OG is a slightly different silhouette compared to the lows we usually see on the market these days.
Opting for a slightly more subtle and classic design, it now appears that the model is set to launch in a “Shattered Backboard” style colourway, one of the most desirable AJ1 colour-schemes of all time. Based on the 2016 “Reverse Shattered Backboard” release, these are going to be a must-have for any sneakerhead serious about Jordans!
The pair are seen here in early images and appear to be crafted from supple leather throughout for a premium vintage look. The traditional colour blocking shows off white, black and orange hues while Nike’s Swoosh logo runs neatly across both the lateral and medial sides. Additional branding comes in the form of Nike Air logos at the tongue and the wings logo on the rear.
This all sits on top of a white midsole unit that encases a full-length Nike Air cushioning system for all the comfort you need. If you’re looking to cop the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Starfish” then you’ll have to sit tight a little longer just yet, as they’re not yet confirmed by Nike or Jordan Brand. In the meantime, keep it locked in right here for all the latest and be sure to check out the Supreme x Timberland Spring 21 collection!
