There's no doubt in any sneakerhead's mind that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Banned" is the most iconic AJ1 colourway in existence. Getting its unique name from the fact that it was banned by the NBA back in the '80s during Michael Jordan's 1984-85 NBA pre-season, it looks like it'll be making a comeback - but with a twist!
Arriving in that signature "Black" and "Varsity Red" colour palette that we all know and love, the "Banned" does away with the classic matte leather in favour of a glossy patent leather makeover. With perforations at the toebox and the legendary winged basketball stamped onto the lateral collar, this Air Jordan 1 is every bit as fire as the original.

A Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and contrasting all of this is a crispy clean Air midsole that sits underfoot. While the Beaverton brand could've left the outsole black and called it a day, they decided to dip it in a complementary red hue instead, tying everything perfectly together.
Not much else is known about the patent Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Bred" at this moment in time, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know if you'll be copping, and in related news, Travis Scott recently teased the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 High!
