Just when we thought we had enough pairs, Jordan Brand has managed to convince us we need another pair of AJ1s, with the introduction of this dusty purple pair. Set to join the brand’s 2023 Holiday line-up, the washed-out shade provides the perfect segway away from this year’s Barbiecore trend into the new year, so here’s an early look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Sky J Mauve”.
Teased by early leakers, the brand-new “Sky J Mauve” Air Jordan 1 High colourway sees washed purple overlays sit atop a crisp, white base, with a matching two-toned sole unit sat neatly underfoot to round things off. A bright white Jordan Wings insignia is stamped on the ankle flap, while Nike tongue tab branding takes on reverse colouring, with the purple Nike logo standing out against the white tongue. At the toe box, the model’s usual perforated detailing helps to aid breathability, and to finish things off, a pair of purple laces tie the pair up perfectly.
It’s no classic colourway, but we must admit that it's been nice to see the Jordan team play with the Retro High OG’s typical colour palettes over the past few months, particularly when it comes to what can be considered more traditionally feminine colourways. If this “Sky J Mauve” Air Jordan 1 Retro High is on your must-cop list, then be sure to hit the release reminders below ahead of the current rumoured drop date of the 14th of October.
Up next, here's what else the brand is cooking up for the autumn season.
