The Air Jordan 11 25th Anniversary is a new rendition of one of the most revered of all of Michael Jordan’s signature sneakers, that was first unveiled in 1995. MJ donned the sneakers during the NBA playoffs a year before they were set to receive a public release, much to the frustration of the Oregon-based brand and Tinker Hatfield.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic design, Nike and Jordan Brand are set to release a special-edition version of the shoes that showcase early design features. Officially dubbed the “25th Anniversary”, the Jordan 11’s are rumoured to be releasing towards the end of the year.
The uppers of the sneakers look set to be crafted from shiny patent leather, a typical AJ11 feature that fans of the silhouette love. Alongside this, embroidered JORDAN lettering on the eyelets will make an appearance, a characteristic that was axed from the prototype model and has since never been seen in the flesh.
Combined with all the usual Jumpman branding and highly-responsive Air cushioning, these are set to be a high-heat Jordan release that fans of the label will no doubt be eager to get their hands on. Here at The Sole Supplier we’re huge fans of the silhouette, will you be looking to pick them up?
