While not the most popular Air Jordan rendition of all time, 1998s AJ13 still has a cult fan base of its own and remains a classic sneaker regardless. We’ve seen plenty of excellent colourways over the years and now Jordan Brand and Nike are gearing up to launch the Air Jordan 13 “Navy”, a brand-new rendition of Michael Jordan’s 13th signature model.
Decked out in a colourway that’s reminiscent of the classic “Flint” variant, unsurprisingly, this release consists mainly of navy panels, combined with hits of grey and black to form a well structured and wearable combination. Reflective mesh overlays also offer up an exciting feature here that has seldom been seen on the AJ13 previously.
The uppers are crafted from a mix of materials including canvas, suede and tumbled leather, while plenty of padding points to the fact that these were originally a performance basketball sneaker. A contemporary lacing system keeps them firmly on feet, while branding comes in the form of jewelled Jumpman/23 logos on the lateral side and Jumpman logos on the tongues in a UNC blue shade. A black and white midsole finishes off the clean look and provides plenty of support.
If you’re liking the look of this upcoming Air Jordan release, the good news is that the pair has a rumoured release date of the 2nd April 2022, so the wait isn’t too long.
