There's no denying that retro releases are one of the most exciting things sneakerheads look forward to every year, especially from Nike and Jordan Brand. And having said that, it appears that the Air Jordan 2 "Chicago" from 1986 is finally making a comeback alongside the Air Jordan 1 High "Chicago" colourway, both of which are considered the two of the hottest pairs this year.
Michael Jordan's second signature court sneakers weren't considered a go-to pair for modern-day sneakerheads until recently when collaborations with notable brands, such as Off-White and Union LA, blessed the silhouette.
According to reports, the design will emerge with its original setup from 1986: a high-top profile with leather panels. The ensemble sees a predominantly white base accented by hits of "Varsity Red", notably on the Nike-branded rubber heel overlays. Black interiors and trims are also part of the ensemble, together delivering the classic "Chicago" look we all know and love. The covetable shoes are complete with MJ's Wings insignia on the tongue and a full-length Air midsole tooling underfoot.
