It seems the rumours about the denim Air Jordan 4 are true. A sneaker sample leaker recently showcased detailed images of "early pairs," which align closely with previous mockups. Reportedly named "Worn Blue," this iteration of the Jordan 4 boasts a striking patchwork design, combining classic blue and light washed denim for a unique look. Adding to its charm, the shoe features frayed edges, enhancing its worn in, vintage inspired aesthetic.
This release naturally calls to mind the iconic Levi’s pack, as denim Jordans often feel like spiritual successors to that legendary collaboration. Adding to the connection are the gum coloured accents underfoot, which further evoke that denim aesthetic. Ditching the full Canadian tuxedo look, the plastic eye stays step in like bold accessories, dressing up the "wings," heel tab, and netting window.
These features incorporate the AJ4's signature grid pattern through detailed perpendicular stitching. While some of these elements were visible in the initial reveal, new images highlight a unique mismatch concept. The lateral and medial sides of the shoe offer contrasting washes, with a lighter denim tone dominating the interior and extending to the bisected mudguard at the heel.
Another standout detail is the gilded lace dubraes engraved with the word “Family.” This subtle touch not only ties the design to the Air Jordan 1 “Denim”; which also featured gold accents; but hints at a broader thematic connection. The Air Jordan 4 “Aluminum”, a women’s exclusive slated for release soon, also leans into familial themes, suggesting a possible trend for this year’s lineup.
The Air Jordan 4 “Denim” is set to drop on 30th September, 2025, though that date might change. Stay tuned to The Sole Supplier and make sure you hit the bell icon above.
