The Beaverton sportswear brand has been strongly focused on low-top trainers these past couple of weeks, nothing strange as summer is finally here. While a stream of new Nike Dunk colourways gear up for their assigned debut date, Nike has reached out once again to famed stylist, fashion blogger, and sneaker designer Aleali May for another collaboration. This time, the duo will be taking on a low-cut rendition of Michael Jordan's fourteenth signature basketball shoes. We've got a closer look at the detailed imagery of the Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 Low "Light Sand" provided by sneaker insider @kangofmemphis, and here's everything we know so far.
We have no doubts that every sneakerhead would agree that the Air Jordan 1 1 has become more popular than it has ever been before, even mid-top renditions that were disregarded commonly now sell out instantly. But for die-hard Jordan fans, the Air Jordan 14 XIV silhouette has a special place in their hearts as it pays homage to the second time legendary basketball player retired from the NBA.
With all that aside, the AJ14 has received some attention recently, thanks to Hong Kong-based streetwear brand CLOT who gave the model a "Terra Blush" makeover not long ago. But this time, Aleali May has taken it up a notch by arranging the suede uppers with lush grey shades, then accented with mint green marble print across the midsoles and tongue liners for a vibrant colour pop. A shimmering gold shank then appears midfoot, and the design is rounded off with sock liners and tongue forefoot marked in deep black, also the Ferrari-inspired shield Jumpman logo on the lateral heel. The coveted collab appears to be coming with a co-branded shoebox that also partakes in the same colour scheme.
At this time of writing, there is currently no release date confirmed for the Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 Low "Light Sand", however, stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest Nike releases. In related news, the Union LA x Air Jordan 4 "Tent and Trail" collection is officially revealed!
