It hasn’t been long since we got an official look at the first two pairs of the upcoming AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force, but it seems that Yoon Ahn is already looking to expand the collection with two new colourways: “Blue” and “Orange”. Having lifted the silhouette from the Nike archives, the designer has added a couple of her own twists to the classic shoe, so here’s what to expect from the drop.
The Nike Air Adjust Force originally launched in 1996 as a basketball shoe, and came with interchangeable shrouds to reflect team colours. The AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force doesn’t leave this detail out, and each pair comes with a matching removable shroud that features jelly Swoosh branding on the side.
Whilst the previously revealed pairs stuck to a more toned-down colour palette, both the “Blue” and “Orange” versions are much bolder. The “Orange” pair takes on a more tonal look, with a rust-coloured orange upper giving way to darker rubberized details and a bright red sole and shroud. From here, rich burgundy liners dress the laces, Swoosh and liners to complete the colourway.
The “Blue” AMBUSH x Air Adjust Force sees a bright blue shade dress the base and shroud, whilst black accents, a black Swoosh and a black sole add a retro touch. Pops of red peek out from the tongues and liners, and a red and black Swoosh dresses the removable strap. Both pairs then feature AMBUSH branding to the heel, and Grind Rubber outsoles give the style a sustainable edge.
Right now, there’s no word on a release date for the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force collection, but be sure to hit the links above to get notified as soon as they’re available. In the meantime, here’s why Nike’s upcoming AMBUSH and Billie Eilish collabs are so important.
