The AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High has been on our radar for quite some time now. First unveiled all the way back in February during New York Fashion Week, the collaboration with the Tokyo-based brand has since been delayed multiple times with no release in sight. With that said, Yoon Ahn herself has now taken to Instagram to unveil the official drop date, and here's what you need to know!
Taking heavy inspiration from motorcycle culture, the silhouette has been given a completely beefed up structure for a more hardwearing finish. Presented here in an ultra clean black and white colour scheme, the luxe leather construction gives off a slight sheen in the light, while the extra chunky midsole adds a little height to the iconic Dunk design.
Perhaps the most striking design element is the oversized rubber Nike Swoosh that shoots across the lateral and medial panels and all the way past the heel. While this has been pretty controversial among sneakerheads, we think that it gives the shoe a speedy aesthetic that fits perfectly with the collab's theme.
Set to drop sometime in December, the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High could also launch alongside a "Lethal Pink" colourway as well, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know what you think of this shoe, and while you're here, you might as well take your first look at the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High "Duck"!
