The BAPESTA 20th Anniversary Edition Won't Be Ignored

The A Bathing Ape BAPESTA “Shark” pack has just been launched by the legendary Japanese streetwear label to celebrate the model’s 20th anniversary. The pair showcases classic vibrant BAPE design, with shark graphics reminiscent of vintage fighter jet decals running across the uppers.

A Bathing Ape, or BAPE as it’s commonly known was founded in 1993 by streetwear godfather Nigo, and has since gone on to create many grail-status pieces and collaborated with some of the biggest brands on the planet. The Bapesta was launched in 2000 and took heavy design influence from the Nike Air Force 1, while it was quickly adopted by streetwear fans across the world.

The shark graphics here have appeared on several releases throughout the years, garnering significant hype each time. These three new colourways are dressed in patent leather and feature the model’s signature star logo on each side, alongside BAPE branded lace locks and a clean white midsole.

The A Bathing Ape Bapesta “Shark” pack is available now via the label’s website, however we don’t expect them to hang around forever due to the hype around the silhouette and the clean colourways.
