As sneakerheads, we’re all for celebrating iconic colourways, but sometimes you just can’t beat a pretty pastel version of a classic sneaker style. As the sneaker scene has become more inclusive, brands have made extra efforts to improve their women’s offering, and although the “pink it and shrink it” method isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there’s no denying that some of these pastel sneakers aren’t an automatic cop.
Though we’re always inundated with pastel sneakers around Easter, we absolutely believe that these colours shouldn’t be exclusive to springtime, which is why we’ll be bringing you all our pastel faves right here, all year round. Scroll to see what’s coming soon, and hit the links to set those release reminders ahead of the drops!
First up, the Air Jordan 1 Washed Pink is set to arrive in all its pastel perfection. Working on top of the iconic AJ1 silhouette, this dreamy pair sports a vintage vibe with a pre-yellowed midsole and “Sail”-toned collar that perfectly complements its white and rose make-up. Rumoured to launch in April, we can see these being a popular pair, so be sure to hit those release reminders nice and early to guarantee your best chance of copping them on the day.
While everyone may be chasing the much-coveted Panda Dunk, we can’t help but feel that the style almost looks better in colour. And yes, we’ve definitely seen a few pink Dunks hit the shelves already, but we’ll never say no to another pair. This “Candy Pink” pair is pretty much exactly as its name suggests, and the perfect sneaker to hop onto the Barbiecore trend with.
If you’re a bit fed up with the rainy weather (we get it) then this latest Air Jordan 1 Low is here to brighten your gloomy mood. Arriving in pastel yellow and orange hues, it’s sunshine in sneaker form. Canvas uppers make for a lightweight option that’s perfect for brighter days ahead, while cute embroidered Swooshes offer something a little different to the norm.
Possibly one of the prettiest pastel sneakers we’ve seen in a long while, the Nike Dunk Low “Sundial” is serving up serious Easter vibes. Multicoloured uppers make for one seriously fun pair of kicks, with finishing touches coming from bold orange Swooshes that sweep across the lateral and medial sidewalls. Is this a sign of what’s to come this spring season? We certainly hope so!
Next up, this year's Easter Dunk has finally been revealed, and it's one of the prettiest pairs we've seen in a while. This GS-sized Dunk comes painted with lilac and lemon shades, while cute gingham material wraps its way around the heel.
Once again proving that Dunks look 10x better in pastel colours, the Nike Dunk High "White Lilac" is sitting pretty near the top of our must-cop lists. A white base, creamy Swoosh and lilac overlays come together for this dreamy pair, and the combo gives the Dunk a little edge over its usual standard two-tone makeup. Be sure to set your release reminders early for this one - we can see it being very popular when it drops later this year.
If pastel shades weren't enough, this pair dials up the super-cute detailing with crimped overlays, adding a feminine touch to the Jordan 1 Mid model. Sitting along shades of white, baby pink and baby blue, this GS-sized pair is definitely one of the sweetest pairs we've seen in a while, so hit the link above for your best of getting your hands on them!
One of our favourite women’s AF1 variations, the Nike AF1 Shadow is the perfect canvas for layering colour, and this version does it particularly well. Shades of cream, baby pink, hot pink and purple add depth to the pair’s leather and canvas construction, which offers sneaker fans something a little different to the norm.
The Dunk rollout is far from done, as proven by this "Blue Canvas" iteration. Here, the shoe has been given an icy makeover, with pale blue canvas sitting underneath powder blue leather overlays. Textured Swooshes add extra detailing, while a white and grey sole unit adds a tonal touch underfoot.
But pastels aren't just for Dunks and J's - as the cute colourways look just as good on models like the Vomero too. Here, a lovely lavender hue puts a nice twist on the techy-looking runner, while white caging and a white sole adds a perfect pop of contrast.
Though the Active Fuschia Dunk Low doesn't look too different to the Candy Pink Dunk on first glance, a closer peep will reveal slightly more of a darker tone to the overlays. Once again arriving in GS-sizes, this sweet sneak is definitely one of the cutest kicks about - and the best bit? You can already buy it.
Finally, we’re back to Jordan Brand for another must-have release: the Air Jordan 1 Low “Desert Berry”. Starting off with a white base, the shoe comes painted with two tonal pink hues that stretch across the overlays, tongue and Swoosh, while a white and pink sole unit provides the perfect finishing touch.
Which pairs will you be looking to add to your collection? Don’t forget to let us know, and check out the neutral colourways that are dropping this year, too.
