adidas Originals and Drama Call have come together in a partnership that feels utterly natural, building on a mutual respect for British culture. Following a successful first drop that paid homage to the Manchester roots, the two have reconnected to bring a second instalment to the streets, this time honouring the capital.
The latest drop centres on an updated Superstar II, now appearing in an off white colourway. The shoe is a testament to the next stage of Drama Call’s street inspired vision, marrying adidas’ long history with the label’s distinct and rebellious attitude. At the core of the design is Drama Call’s star emblem, which takes a prominent place on the heel tab, tongue, and sole. The star is even replicated on a silver hangtag, positioned between adidas’ classic three stripes.
The new footwear is accompanied by an apparel capsule that nods to 90s terrace culture. The collection features two classic Beckenbauer tracksuits in off white and black, which integrate the three stripes and three stars motif. This second chapter is a celebration of both Manchester and London, moving the story forward from the first drop’s ‘Head North’ theme to a new ‘Head South’ narrative. This transport inspired storytelling is brought to life by a cross generational lineup of British talent, including Headie One, Aitch, Shaun Ryder, and Window Kid, who collectively prove that "the best things in life, are 3."
In a comment, adidas remarked, “Our journey continues with Drama Call, remaining rooted in a shared love of British culture and a commitment to pushing style forward. Together, The Brand with Three Stripes and The Brand with Three Stars are writing new chapters, with drop two standing as a symbol of collaboration, heritage, and fresh energy for 2025." This sentiment is shared by Charlie Bows, the founder of Drama Call, who believes the partnership captures the essence of his brand.
He explained, “Drop one’s ‘Head North’ campaign celebrated where we started; ‘Head South’ celebrates where we are going. This journey is ongoing, impossible to imitate, and not stopping anytime soon.”
