The Cold Weather is Snow Problem for Gucci x adidas

The winter weather has definitely caught up with us now, but bundling up in a million layers doesn’t mean you have to miss out on flexing some serious heat, as Gucci and adidas have proven in their latest collaborative shock drop. After dropping a retro sportswear-inspired collection back during the summer, the pair have reunited again for an Après-Ski style capsule, which encompasses four pairs of chunky winter boots, and a collection of super-luxe clothing and accessories.

Much like the earlier collection, the styles arrive in vibrant colourways that manage to channel the playful nature of both brands - both Alessandro Michele’s whimsical approach to design, and the 3-Stripes’ penchant for bold colouring across its originals line. A heavyweight canvas makes up the majority of the boots’ uppers, while layered rubber detailing helps to proof them against the elements. The tactical boots come fitted with metal eyelets and rope laces, as well as a chunky lugged sole unit that ups the practicality factor. From here, Trefoil and Gucci branding hits the collars, outsoles and heels, while the tongue tabs come decorated with an archive-inspired co-branded mountain label ready to (quite literally) take the duo’s collab strategy to new heights.

Clothing styles arrive in the form of typical Après-Ski wear: puffer jackets, knitwear and cosy tracksuits form the basis of the collection, while leather goods elevate the line further. Handbags and trunks offer the perfect solution for taking your luggage to the slopes, and ski-themed goods such as goggles offer a stylish option for those joining in on the sport.
