Back in October, Rei Kawakubo took to the runways of Paris Fashion Week to reveal the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Dunk Low. The latest collaboration to grace the ever-so-popular skate shoe that's been taking over 2020, it's been combined with the legendary Japanese designer's signature avant-garde aesthetic, and it's finally arriving this week.
Dropping in two colour schemes including "Print Black" and "Black", the former features a semi-transparent TPE upper that's quite similar to the Air VaporMax 2020 and the React Element 87, and is peppered with "CDG" lettering throughout. The latter, on the other hand, opts for a solid black vibe that's definitely the more versatile of the two.
Through each shoe, you'll also find a range of deconstructed elements too, including heat-welded midfoot Nike Swooshes and leather heel badges that seem to be haphazardly switched on. It's then rounded off with a pair of thick waxed laces and black midsoles, finalising the simple yet sophisticated looks.
Dropping on May 14th, the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Dunk Lows "Print Black" and COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Dunk Lows "Black" are coming way sooner than we had expected - but we aren't complaining. Let us know which pair you'd add to your rotation, and in related news, the COMME des GARÇONS PLAY x Converse Chuck 70 just introduced a new heart print!
