The Concepts x adidas ZX9000 Pays Homage to Boston Marathon Runners
Celebrate the relentless determination of marathon runners with the Concepts x adidas ZX9000 inspired by the Mylar recovery blankets used by runners at the finish line.
Boston based streetwear retailer Concepts teamed up with the German footwear giant to develop a futuristic statement sneaker that reflects Boston’s iconic marathon, which is the world’s oldest and most challenging race.
The Torsion equipped silhouette is constructed from reflective silver metallic uppers creating a crinkled foil-like effect. Additional details include translucent TPU overlays on the upper, a navy blue heel cage and a matching eye stay, as well as speckled laces that are nicely finished with “A-ZX Series” and “Concepts” branding.
Meanwhile, the ZX 9000 comes with a white Torsion-equipped sole unit complete with patriotic tri-colour accents, dual-branded tongues, and a touch of light grey suede on the forefoot for contrast.
Whether you’re taking on a marathon or a leisurely park run, the Concepts x adidas ZX9000 sneaker is the inspiration you need to run like a champion and conquer your own finish line.
These running shoes will be released at Concepts on 6th September, followed by a drop on adidas.com drop on 12th September. In related adidas news, the atmos x adidas ZX 8000 "G-SNK" finally gets a European release date!
