While Converse has been heavy handed when it comes to collaborations as of late, the latest pair to be unveiled from the label is instead an incredibly solid GR release, inspired by Japanese Matcha powder. Titled the Converse Jack Purcell “Matcha”, the pair shows off clean lines and premium construction combined with an effortlessly clean colourway that will always be deserving of a place in your rotation.
First created all the way back in 1935, the Jack Purcell is one of the oldest sneakers on the Converse roster and remains a classic today, proving that the design is immortal. If you’re searching for an everyday pair of kicks that will blend seamlessly into your wardrobe then they don’t get much better than this!
Decked out in a green hue that resembles the popular powder (often used for tea or deserts), the sneakers are crafted from recycled wool across the uppers for a comfortable and sustainable offering. Branding is kept to a minimum as with most Converse releases, with logos found only on the insoles and on the rear heel. This is all placed atop of a white rubber midsole that conceals plenty of cushioning, making sure these are comfortable daily steppers.
If you’re keen on this upcoming pair of Jack Purcells, the good news is that they’re scheduled to drop soon, with a Japan release set for the 21st November. We can expect them to land globally shortly after, so keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest and while you’re here check out this brand-new New Balance 992 that’s en route!
