The Exclusive UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon “Thunder Blue” Will Be Limited to Just 1,000 Pairs

The Nike Zoom Spiridon continues to capture the hearts of sneaker enthusiasts, and its recent resurgence; fueled by OG colourway re releases and high profile collaborations with brands like fragment design; has reignited interest among collectors. If you recall, UNDEFEATED created a buzz at ComplexCon 2024 by gifting a select few booth visitors an early release of the coveted sneakers. More recently, the brand/retailer teased the collab on Instagram, sharing a short clip of a runner blazing through a mountain trail. Now, UNDEFEATED has officially unveiled its Nike Zoom Spiridon project, and only 1,000 pairs will be made available to the public.

These ultra limited sneakers will be sold exclusively at Undefeated chapter stores in La Brea, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and NYC. They’ll be released on a first come, first serve basis, with no online availability. To add to the exclusivity, the sneakers will come packaged in a custom shoebox featuring mock racing bib designs.

The Nike Zoom Spiridon, originally released in 1997, became a cult classic for sneakerheads and played a pivotal role in Nike’s development of pressure mapped technology for enhanced cushioning and support. UNDEFEATED’s interpretation of this iconic silhouette, dubbed the “Thunder Blue”, delivers a fresh yet performance inspired look. It features a navy mesh upper for breathability, complemented by a premium suede mudguard that adds depth and texture. Reflective piping, a metallic silver Swoosh, and green accents on the eyestays and forefoot Swoosh bring a sharp, modern aesthetic. A ripstop tongue and a blue UNDEFEATED tag on the ankle collar round out the design.

To announce the collaboration, UNDEFEATED released a bold promotional film, showcasing free divers leaping from a helicopter, adorned with giant UNDEFEATED Five Strike logos and Nike Swooshes; a fittingly daring way to highlight the shoe’s adventurous spirit.

With only 1,000 pairs worldwide, the Undefeated x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon “Thunder Blue” is set to drop exclusively at Undefeated stores on 22nd February, 2025.
