The Feng Chen Wang x Converse Jack Purcell Reworks a Classic
Feng Chen Wang is certainly no stranger when it comes to Converse collabs, but the Feng Chen Wang x Converse Jack Purcell has got to be the Chinese designer's most ambitious one yet. Revealed as part of her Fall/Winter 2020 Collection, the unique design of each pairs pays homage to traditional basket weaving techniques.
Available in two clean cut colour schemes including an all-white pair and an all-black pair, both Jack Purcells are crafted from a series of leather and suede panels that overlap on top of one another for added depth. From a distance, these may look like random patterns and cut outs, but upon closer inspection you'll find that they actually spell out the style icon's name in Chinese.
Other notable details including "Feng Chen Wang" in a lower case and upper case style, a slightly grooved rubber toe cap, and simple flat laces that tie everything together, finalising the design.
Launching alongside a wide range of apparel and accessories, the Feng Chen Wang x Converse Jack Purcell is expected to drop on August 6th. Let us know what you think of this collab, and while you're here, here are our 15 favourite sneakers from Converse's unmissable sale!
