If you're ever feeling a little lost in New York City or Tokyo, the First Down x atmos x ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 is made just for you. Marking the duo's first ever collaboration, it takes inspiration from the subway metro systems of both mega metropolises.
While this design might seem a little strange, First Down was actually founded in NYC back in the '80s, while atmos is one of the world's most renowned streetwear brands based in Japan, so this influence is actually a lot more obvious that you think. Taking on the fan-favourite GEL-Lyte 3, a full leather construction graces each pair with their respective maps sprawled out across the uppers. Keeping inline with the mismatched design, they both feature different coloured midsoles and sockliners.

The legendary ASICS tiger stripe shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and of course, it wouldn't be a GEL-Lyte 3 without the iconic split tongue design. Interestingly enough, the Japanese pair features an embroidered Tokyo Tower on the tongue, and we can't really see what's on the American version, but we wouldn't be surprised if it was the Empire State Building or even Lady Liberty herself.
Teased by atmos Creative Director Hirofumi Kojima, we wouldn't be surprised if the First Down x atmos x ASICS GEL-Lyte III dropped soon, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info as it develops! Let us know what you think of this idea, and while you're here, you might as well say bonjour to the BAPE x ASICS GEL-1090 "France Camo"!
