The First Pokémon Versus Clogs Have Arrived

The real buzz around Pokémon has always been the battles. So, while last year's Pokémon Crocs were a decent nod to the series, their latest move feels like it's hitting closer to the mark. Crocs are beefing up their Pokémon link up with a brand new Versus Clog, and it's all about fire versus water.

Dubbed the "Versus Clog," the first pair we're seeing is a proper "Charizard and Blastoise" mismatch. Crocs has pitted two of the original starter Pokémon against each other, each getting their own stealthy shoe.

While a proper black dominates most of the shoe, the inner side switches it up with each Pocket Monster's element. You've got wavy and fiery patterns taking over the midsole and that Sports Mode strap hinge. They've even thrown back to the Red and Blue mascots with Jibbitz featuring those classic Ken Sugimori illustrations on each shoe, plus an extra nod to their elemental types.

Looking beyond this "Charizard vs. Blastoise" Pokémon Versus Clog, retailers have already started listing another Pokémon Crocs collection for the summer. This could well mean we'll see more pairs rocking this mash up theme soon.
