This is it. After a pretty drastic delay, the fragment design x Air Jordan 3 Retro SP finally has an updated release date. Regarded by many sneakerheads as one of the hottest collaborations of the entire year, rumours of this shoe began all the way back in 2018. Has it lived up to the hype though? Let's find out!
The brainchild of visionary Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, he has dropped his signature blue and white colour palette in favour of something even more simple and subdued. Crafted from panels of premium tumbled leather, smooth leather mudguards surround the outside of the Air Jordan 3, complete with a debossed lightning bolt logo at the heel that references the godfather of streetwear's brand.
An embroidered Jumpman logo adorns the tongue, and around the back, you'll find Fujiwara's double bolt emblem overlaid by yet another Jumpman, this time in a see-through rubber panel for added depth. Rounding it all off is a clean cut Nike Air midsole underfoot, resulting in an insane amount of comfort and cushioning both on and off the court.
Now for that updated release date. If you, like many of us, have been waiting for the fragment design x Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro SP to launch, then mark your calendars as they'll be dropping on October 28th. Let us know what you think of this collaboration, and in related news, the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Sail" and apparel collection has been officially unveiled!
