Well, this was certainly unexpected. After months and months of leaks and rumours, the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing" has been officially confirmed! A colourway that made its initial debut all the way back in 2010, it's making a pretty major comeback with some equally-as-major design changes to boot.
From a distance the "Beijing" looks exactly like its '10 counterpart, but when you take a closer look you'll find that the signature mismatched design has been completely removed from this re-release. Some sneakerheads might be a little disappointed by this but we think that it makes the Dunk so much more wearable. Featuring an all-leather construction, purple "Wine" and "Black" panels clash and contrast for a perfectly colourblocked aesthetic.
A Nike Swoosh elegantly shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while Hiroshi Fujiwara's iconic double lightning bolt logo is printed onto the heel in a crisp white.
Shifting your focus down below, you'll find a pristine midsole that's as comfortable as ever. This coveted collaboration is then rounded off with a line of code that harkens back to the godfather of streetwear's love of all things technical.
Set to make a legendary comeback on June 5th, the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing" is expected to be followed by "London" and "New York" options later this year to complete the "City Pack" trifecta. Let us know what you think of this release, and while you're here, you might as well take your best look yet at the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low!
