In an unexpected yet expected turn of events, Kanye West has had to change the names of every single colourway from his Yeezy Holiday 2020 Collection that references the Bible and Christianity as a whole.
A trend that began at the end of last year with models such as the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Yecheil", it continued throughout 2020 as well. However, as colourways such as the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Israfil" and the upcoming "Asriel", now Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon", began to surface, religious groups began to question the American artist and fashion designer's potentially blasphemous naming system, and that's the sole reason why he's had to overhaul his upcoming line-up.
Kicking things off, the "Ophanim" will now be called the Yeezy QNTM "Teal Blue" and is expected to drop on October 10th. The "Abez" has now been renamed to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Natural" as a nod to its extremely clean colour palette, and is set to launch just two weeks later on October 24th.
Next stop, the "Srphym", which was named after one of the angels in the Bible, has been changed to the Yeezy 700 V3 "Safflower", while the "Yecher" is now the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Fade". There's no official word yet on when either of these will drop, so be sure to stay tuned.
Finally, the "Eliada" has been renamed to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Sand Taupe", and the hotly anticipated "Eremiel" is now the Yeezy 700 V3 "Clay Brown", which is much more fitting if you ask us.
