The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer is Totally Vegan-Friendly

The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer has just been unveiled as the Hollywood star’s first-ever signature sneaker, and it’s made to be totally vegan-friendly to align with Smith’s personal values.

Crafted entirely from sustainable materials, the Vision Racer takes on a bulky appearance and comes dressed in a midnight purple colourway. Inspired by the successful X-Racer and 1700 silhouettes, the pair are also packed full of high-end technologies.

The uppers of the Vision Racer are made from synthetic leather, polyester and reflective yarns, while the midsole is formed from recycled foam to offer a sustainable and comfortable solution. Jaden Smith has joined the ranks of New Balance and aims to take the American footwear label down a future-friendly route by helping to push the move towards waste-free production.

The chunky midsole is easily the stand-out feature of the collaboration, with a large VISION graphic printed on the outsole. Classic New Balance branding is featured throughout, while Jaden’s signature adorns the insole for a premium collaborative touch.
