It's been one hell of a year for Jordan Brand. After nine months of dropping nothing but heat, the Michael Jordan-helmed partnership is set to continue this with the Jordan Brand Holiday 2021 Retro Collection - and we're taking our first look yet!
Featuring a total of thirteen styles and colourways, the collection is kicked off with the long-awaited Air Jordan 1 High "Patent Bred" that takes on the classic colourway but with a glossy twist. The hotly-anticipated Air Jordan 1 High "Bordeaux" is also set to launch. Bearing a striking resemblance to the legendary "Midnight Navy", it comes complete with a metallic silver Swoosh that we all know and love from the CO.JP release.
Afterwards, the multicoloured masterpiece that is the Air Jordan 1 High "Hand Crafted" is also making its grand debut this season. With earthy panels this looks like something that's been made by artisanal craftsmen. Of course, you can't talk about this range without mentioning the Air Jordan 1 High "Atmosphere" that is curiously inspired by MJ's love of bubble gum. While this might seem a little random there's a bunch of cool details on this Air Jordan 1 that showcase this.
Next stop we're getting a pair of Air Jordan 3s including one that is covered in military camo and the Air Jordan 3 "Pine Green" that's been all the rage since they first leaked last month. A homage to the Oregon Ducks, it's bolstered with classic cement patterning that makes this an instant classic. Two Air Jordan 5s are also here, namely the Air Jordan 5 "Jade Horizon" and an icy blue variant that we can't wait to see in-person.
The next chapter begins with the Air Jordan 9 "Chile Red" which is bold and bright and is a nod to the Air Jordan 9 "Motorboat Jones" from 2012. The Air Jordan 12 "Royalty" is influenced by the AJ12 "Taxi" with some extra gold detailing, while the Air Jordan 13 "Court Purple" gives the classic a regal revamp. To round it all off, a winterised Air Jordan 14 is perfect for the colder months ahead, while a neon pink Air Jordan 14 Low is inspired by being "boldly and unapologetically yourself".
