While the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 "Total Orange" certainly isn't his first Swoosh sneaker, it's definitely his best one yet. Made in collaboration with the Creative Director of Dior Homme, this special edition Air Max 95 celebrates the Sergio Lozano-designed silhouette's 25th anniversary, and here's everything that we know so far.
A shoe that's actually been on our radar since June, more info of the AM95 leaked earlier this month, and now, we're taking an official look. Following up to his Air Max 360 High from 2018 and, of course, the Dior x Air Jordan 1 that dropped in the summer, Jones' take on the iconic model is done up with luxurious grey suede along the lateral and medial side panels with a Morse code-inspired pattern making an appearance. Premium leather dresses the toe box and mudguards, while semi-translucent panelling is overlaid on top of the bright orange laces for the perfect mix of classic and contemporary.
Down below, a chunky white Nike Air midsole is present complete with visible "Total Orange" bubbles. This is then lined with an icy blue rubber outsole, and to round it all off, the British designer's name adorns the heel, finalising the design.
Set to drop sometime in June alongside a rumoured "Volt" colourway, the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 "Total Orange" may not have been what we fully expected, but we're feeling them either way. Let us know what you think of this coveted collaboration, and in related news, the Nike Air Max 95 "Neon" gets a militarised makeover!
