The KITH x Balenciaga Runner Takes the Chunky Sneaker Trend to New Heights

Over the past five years, Demna Gvasalia has absolutely dominated the chunky sneaker scene with silhouettes such as the Track and the Triple S. Arguably the two pairs that kicked off the retro revolution, it looks like the Parisian fashion house is about to unleash a third macho model to the mix with the Balenciaga Runner!

Making its grand debut via a KITH collaboration, the three initial colourways are surprisingly wearable especially when you considered how wild and wacky some of these shoes can get. Arriving in "Red", "Triple White", and "Triple Black" flavours, each shoe works atop a breathable mesh base while deconstructed leather panels make their way throughout. Rubberised elements grace the lacing system and heel counter for an extra rugged aesthetic, and in true Balenci fashion, the shoe size can be found in front of the toebox.

While the entire silo is void of any KITH branding, you'll actually find the New York streetwear imprint's name on the lacelock. This is accompanied by a number that hints that these are limited to just 650 pairs worldwide, so copping won't be the easiest thing in the world especially if you're based anywhere other than the States.
