Earlier this year, French sports label Salomon shocked sneakerheads and gorpcore enthusiasts around the world with the announcement of the Salomon ACS Pro Advanced. Diving deep into the archives, this silhouette was actually designed by Christian Tresser during the 2000s, but has been slightly reworked for the modern era. Following the release of four monochromatic colourways, it looks like the model's first collab is on the way in the form of the L'Art de L'Automobile x Salomon ACS Pro Advanced - and here's what we know so far.
Teaming up with Arthur Kar's Paris-based lifestyle and auto-dealer brand, this partnership marks an all-French collaboration that's as vibrant as they come. While LADL have had a few sneaker collections in the past, with the most recent one being with Vans, it's clear to see that they've gone all out for the ACS Pro Advanced. Kar has always been fascinated by vintage Porsches, so we wouldn't be too surprised if this crazy colourway is inspired by a particular car from the past.
Working on top of a bold orange mesh base, the upper is predominantly coloured in a forest green hue while vibrant yellow accenting shoots its way across for additional contrast. The toggle switch lacing system offers up the ultimate lockdown fit, while two pull tabs around the back make it easier than ever to slip in and out. Of course, you can't talk about this trainer without mentioning the rugged midsole that's been infused with an Agile Chassis System used for increased stability.
Not much else is known about the L'Art de L'Automobile x Salomon ACS Pro Advanced at this moment in time, so make sure you hit those "Notify me" buttons to be kept up-to-date. Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair, and in related news, COMME des GARÇONS and Salomon are returning with two new silhouettes for 2022!
