Latest Vans trainer news
Vans trainers are a wardrobe staple for today’s street wear enthusiast. From the iconic Old Skool to the timeless Anaheim, there’s no shortage of colourways and designs. The entire range is a celebration of vintage styling with many shoes staying almost identical to the earliest designs.
The Californian skate brand was founded in 1966 by brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren, along with partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia.
This coming together led to the creation of the Van Doren Rubber Company, which allowed the company to sell 12 pairs of shoes on their first day of business. These were made that day and ready for pick-up in the afternoon. This quick turn around led to an explosion in popularity. It wasn’t long before Vans shoes become a global sensation.
If it wasn’t popular enough, Vans continue to work alongside major names and designers. These collaborations put even more respect on the many popular styles from the Sk8-Hi to the Era and Slip-On. Past releases alongside Fear Of God, Kenzo and even Disney have been quick to sellout. This streetwear staple will go down in the annuls of trainer history.
