After the success of the Vans Authentic, the brand looked to expand into the skating community. Being popularised by the iconic Z-Boys, the Era was a success and became an instant hit with skaters and surfers.

Much of the shoe’s original design remains the same from the 1970s, however the shoe has been updated to benefit new technology with added comfort and support.
The original colourways of the Vans Era were designed by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta and since then the brand has released the Era in a number of exciting colorways.
