It’s been a while since the city of Liverpool got its own pair of JD exclusive-110s, having been 18 years since the Air Max 95 0151’s dropped in 2008. Although, looking at the cloudy Air units on this particular pair, it’s a risk lacing up such a rare pair.

Sure, we had the Liverpool F.C 110s, which felt like a win for those Scousers who find themselves at Anfield every-other weekend, but of course the Toffees felt left out of the action. The Block P x Lorenz OG x Nike was arguably Liverpool's biggest ode, with people running through its city streets for their chance to win a pair.

So now it feels good to see JD back in its 2000s city-edition era, with a Liverpool embroidered on the tongue, a Nike L.P.L on the spine and a Scouse on the mid-foot shank, a detail we have not seen since The Derby Pack Air Max 95 samples of 2014 - shoutout The Block P on this info.

The pair is split between a rustic orange and mint palette, symbolising the red brick buildings seen throughout the city of Liverpool. Buildings such as the Victoria Building at the University of Liverpool and warehouses in the Royal Albert Dock are built from that bold red brick, a shade that comes from the clay found in the North West regions of England.

As for the green, that shade is inspired by the two Liver Birds that sit atop the Royal Liver Building. So before people tell you it's red and blue after the two city’s football teams, tell them they’re wrong. JD wrote about the Liverpool 110s on its blog, giving the colourway name as “Rust Factor” and “Steam”.

Inside, an orange graphical map of Liverpool is printed onto the sockliner, a great IYKYK touch for anyone who will own this pair. Another hidden detail is the 0151 embroidered on the inside of the tongue, letting us know Nike went the extra mile on this city edition.

The black tongue, and darker gradient on the side panels are also a welcome addition, given that people in Liverpool prefer the hard-wearing suede versions of the 110 library, something the guys at The Block P told us in an interview.

JD also picked a team of Scouse stars for the campaign, getting Kasst back in the mix, as well as The Block P, Sneaker Planters, Lola from yabirdwears and the boys from Bennetts. If there’s a squad of people you want to represent 110s, you’re looking at them.

The JD exclusive Liverpool x Nike 110 is set to drop on the 1.10 aka 1st of October 2026 for £175. The Air Max 95 is available through the JD STATUS Access app, with the raffle live until 9 am on Wednesday the 30th of September.

For those who don’t want to chance it online, the Liverpool 110 will also be dropping at the JD Liverpool ONE store on the 1st of October. Considering the hype on these, expect a queue around the block, but as to what time that queue will start is currently anyone’s guess.
